My wedding day 2012
I grew up in a crafty family. A common refrain heard in my household growing up was, “I could make that!” As a child I was an avid crocheter and learned to cross-stitch. After graduating from college in 2002, I took up knitting in order to have something to do with my hands. Sewing, quilting, embroidery, spinning my own yarn, and designing patterns followed.
I have had patterns published in Quilt Now, Interweave Knits Accessories, Quilty, Knitcircus, and Knotions magazines. I also self-publish knit, crochet, & quilt patterns and participate in the KnitPicks Independent Designer Program.
I enjoy working with natural fibers like cotton,
linen, and wool. All items are handcrafted by me personally and I use only
high quality materials. Each item I have created is unique and is meant to be
handled and enjoyed by the purchaser. I occasionally utilize reclaimed and
repurposed materials in my work.
